Dana White has provided another update on the UFC White House event, revealing it will be announced to fans next week.

Earlier this month, the UFC boss teased that the UFC White House event was complete, but at the time, he refused to spill any details to the fans.

Since then, more details have emerged regarding the historic event, with the promotion set to lose over $60 million by putting on the event.

Despite that, that seemingly isn’t slowing down the UFC as Dana White has provided a new update which has fans excited.

Dana White confirms UFC White House event will be revealed next week

This past Friday, the promotion announced that Dana would be making some fight announcements live on his Instagram, which made fans hopeful that a few White House fights could be announced.

Despite that, it was announced that Alex Pereira has vacated his light heavyweight title, leaving a vacant title fight between Jiri Prochazka and Carlos Ulberg at UFC 327.

But during the announcement, fortunately, White provided an update on the June 14.

“I will have more information for you guys, actually, no, this week I should announce the White House fight. This week I should be announcing it,” White said.

Although fans started off extremely optimistic about the one-of-a-kind event, over the past few weeks, the excitement has simmered.

Ilia Topuria still hasn’t received the call to headline UFC White House

It became clear that the promotion’s plan was to have a main event between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje, however, reports circulated earlier this week that that’s increasingly unlikely.

Reports suggested that because it is likely that Gaethje would get knocked out in the main event, Donald Trump doesn’t want to represent America in that way.

Despite that, in a recent live stream with Adin Ross, Topuria shut down that notion, claiming that he could still be set to headline the event but he hasn’t had the call yet.

UFC 328 is scheduled to take place before the White House event and that is still without a main event, which could be a reason for the delay.

However, fans can now look forward to an announcement regarding the White House event this coming week.
