Stepping in to take her place and face Ernesta Kareckaite on short notice was undefeated Mexican prospect Regina Tarin.
The fans inside Arena CDMX showed up early to show their support for the home fighter’s Octagon debut and were rewarded with an entertaining catchweight clash.

Regina Tarin wins UFC debut against Ernesta Kareckaite as the second youngest fighter on the roster
Regina Tarin stepped into the Octagon on just a few days’ notice and secured her first win under the UFC banner by beating Ernesta Kareckaite.
The two women largely competed in a striking battle for three rounds at UFC Mexico City, as the Lithuanian put her output up against the punching power of her opponent.
Tarin’s boxing led to her winning a unanimous decision via the scorecards, with two judges scoring all three rounds for her while another had it 29-28.
The 21-year-old is now 8-0 in her career and is off the mark as the second youngest fighter on the current roster.
Earlier this year, ‘Kill Bill’ had a multi-day tryout at the WWE’s Performance Center but chose to continue pursuing MMA despite the potential of a career in professional wrestling.
After previously preparing for a Muay Thai contest before getting the UFC call, it looks like Tarin made the correct decision to pursue this path.
