Social media star Sophie Rain earns hundreds of millions – and believes she deserves it more than top UFC stars.

A viral X post compared her monstrous earnings to that of the interim UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje, whose reported UFC payouts are in the low millions.

Little is known about Rain’s true identity, such as a name or exact age, but she structures her social media presence as being about the life of an early-20s woman.

What’s the first Justin Gaethje fight you’d show a new fan?

Rain has boasted of making over $100 million during her time on the platform, after growing up in a home where her family relied on food stamps. And she has defended the massive number in a post that is circulating around social media.

Sophie Rain defends $100 million+ earnings amid Justin Gaethje comparison

A recent tweet that compared the career earnings of Justin Gaethje and OnlyFans model Sophie Rain got the internet talking – with over 5.6 million seeing the graphic. Thousands interacted with the statistic, although it was incorrect

The tweet cited Gaethje as having earned just $2.4 million in his career despite winning three belts in the UFC and earning 15 performance bonuses. It also claimed that Rain’s entire income has been made through just ‘three streams a month’.

Over the years, ‘The Highlight’ has fought around the world, meaning that his purses have not been disclosed. However, it is safe to assume that he has made considerably more than just $2.4 million in his career.

The graphic also claimed that he was a ‘two-time UFC lightweight champion’, which is not strictly true as he has only been interim champion twice, losing his two efforts at undisputed gold.

With that being said, it is probably fair to speculate that over his 15-year, 32-fight professional career Gaethje has not made anything close to $100 million.

Rain replied to this post by writing: “I’m not saying I don’t get paid a ridiculously absurd amount, but to say all I do is “3 streams monthly” when I am legit on my phone posting, engaging, talking to people, making videos every single day without breaks since 2023 is wild.”

Social media users were not thrilled with that response, noting that she is still comparing her relatively comfortable lifestyle to that of an elite UFC fighter.
