Floyd Mayweather has confirmed that he’ll return to the ring in June to face Mike Zambidis.

It was announced last month that Mayweather will meet Manny Pacquiao in a rematch on September 19 at Sphere in Las Vegas.

This clash, eleven years on from their historic first meeting, isn’t the only time that ‘Money’ is scheduled to share the ring with a fellow legend in the near future.

Mayweather is tentatively set to face Mike Tyson in an exhibition on April 25, according to reports, with a third matchup now being confirmed to take place in between those bouts.

Floyd Mayweather officially announces exhibition bout with Mike Zambidis for June

Floyd Mayweather has officially announced that he will face Mike Zambidis in an exhibition bout that will take place in Athens, Greece in June.

Some have questioned the reasoning behind Mayweather’s plans for the year, and it’s clear that he wants to be busy, with three fights now mapped out.

Decorated kickboxer Zambidis initially announced that he’d be fighting Mayweather back at the start of February but ‘Money’ took nearly a full month before he addressed the matchup.

“2026 is already shaping up to be an exciting year for me,” he wrote on Instagram. “Europe, I’m on the way to entertain!! Athens, Greece… Get ready for an all out exhibition. This summer will be a legendary battle. June is the month where history will be made at the Telekom Center. Different energy. Different level.”

While what looks to be his final outing of the year will see him return to the pro ranks for the first time since 2017, Mayweather did want to face Manny Pacquiao in an exhibition but his rival turned this down.

Floyd Mayweather has fought in 8 exhibition matches since his last pro fight

Floyd Mayweather beat Conor McGregor in his final pro fight before deciding to go down a different path to keep his 50-0 record intact.

‘Money’ has continued to use his skills inside the ring to get paid but he’s been doing it by competing in exhibition matches ever since his win over ‘Notorious’.
