Logan Paul says he didn’t make as much money as you’d expect when he fought Floyd Mayweather.

Earlier today, Mayweather announced a second exhibition match that he’ll have before facing Manny Pacquiao on Netflix in September.

Joe Rogan questioned whether Mayweather’s return is financially motivated, with his lavish lifestyle being described as him spending money “like it’s a tap”.

Paul, who faced off with the legendary boxer back in 2021, recently claimed that he’s still owed some money because of the way their negotiations went down.

Logan Paul says Floyd Mayweather is being sued but he’s still not got his money

Floyd Mayweather may have launched a huge lawsuit over money that he claims he’s missing but Logan Paul claims that his former opponent still owes him.

Mayweather and Paul went the distance in an eight-round exhibition that wasn’t scored back in June, 2021 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.

The WWE star recently explained during an appearance on The Iced Coffee Hour that the way ‘Money’ sold the fight has resulted in him still being owed $1.5 million five years on.

“He pre sold the fight using my likeness to some company in I think Dubai or like the middle east for $10 million cash,” Paul explained. “We ended up doing the fight in the States with a different company.

“That is the company that put on the fight, that is the company that paid me but, he sold our fight with my name and likeness to someone else in Dubai for $10 million cash. It’s our fight, bro. Our deal was 15 percent, he f—— smoked me.”

Paul went on to say that the company Mayweather initially sold the fight to is suing the 50-0 boxer, but he isn’t sure what that case is at because he hasn’t checked on it.

Regardless of where this back and forth is at, he’s not confident that his former opponent is going to deliver that 15 percent that he’s still owed.

“He has a bunch of legal trouble at the moment,” Paul added. “I don’t think I’m ever getting the money.”

Jake Paul’s career impacted Floyd Mayweather’s return to pro boxing after nine years

The CEO of Manny Pacquiao promotions, Jas Mathur, recently explained to MMA Fighting why it took them so long to finalize a rematch with Floyd Mayweather.

There was a lot of criticism that their first meeting was happening too late in their careers only for another bout to be scheduled 11 years later.

Mathur said that the straw that broke the camel’s back after years of attempts to get the fight done was seeing the likes of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson attract huge viewing figures on Netflix.

“So these guys are (like) look, if we can have Netflix as a partner, we can get into so many different homes, get access to a whole different audience… That’s what did it,” he said. “That’s really what did it. It’s the fact that it’s on Netflix.”
