Ahead of his UFC 326 title fight, Charles Oliveira is either dreaming big, or his imagination is running wild.
‘Do Bronx’ last fought under the UFC banner last October when he choked out Mateusz Gamrot in the second round of their UFC Rio de Janeiro main event.
This coming Saturday, the Brazilian fan favorite returns to action when he takes on Max Holloway for the BMF title in the UFC 326 main event.
And ahead of his return to the cage, Charles Oliveira has outlined his extremely audacious ‘dream’, which starts with winning the significant strap on Saturday night.

Charles Oliveira: Audacious dream ends with him moving down to 145lbs
During a recent Q&A in Brazil, the 36-year-old revealed that he doesn’t know whether he had a dream or if it was his imagination, but he saw himself winning the BMF title before reclaiming the 155lb title.
In a shock turn, though, in the same ‘dream’, the Brazilian then gives up both titles at the end of the year before going for the featherweight strap.
“I think I can still make 145lbs if it’s for the title,” Oliveira said during the Q&A.
“I don’t know if it was just a dream or I had something from my imagination. I win the (BMF) belt now, I fight for the (lightweight) title at the end of the year, then I give up both titles and drop to 145lbs to fight for that belt.
“But I don’t know if I was dreaming or just going crazy. I don’t know. We’ll see,” he continued.
Despite Oliveira’s dream or imagination, he is widely regarded as a big lightweight, and a cut to 145lbs would likely be extremely difficult for him, especially at 36 years old.
In fact, over the past few years, it has seemed more likely that if Oliveira was going to switch weight classes, he would’ve moved up to 170lbs.

Oliveira on potential future fight against Alexander Volkanovski
Now just days out from his rematch against ‘Blessed’, Oliveira has somewhat doubled down on his openness to move to 145lbs.
“For sure (a fight between me and Alexander Volkanovski would be a historic thing), about legacy, that would be huge,” he told Submission Radio.
For now, ‘Do Bronx’ only has eyes set on the BMF title, but with a win over Holloway on Saturday night, several avenues could be opened up for the UFC star.
