Joe Rogan and Dana White shared the same worry about Khabib Nurmagomedov after Conor McGregor brawl

Two of MMA’s most famous men shared the same concern immediately after UFC 229.

Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor fought for the UFC lightweight title in October 2018.

The bitter rivals sold 2.4 million pay-per-views to set a record that may never be broken after Dana White essentially killed the model when he recently signed a $7.7 billion US TV deal with Paramount.

What should’ve been a night of celebration for the UFC boss was ruined by a post-fight brawl.

Joe Rogan & Dana White’s major concern after UFC 229

Immediately after Khabib Nurmagomedov submitted Conor McGregor in the fourth round of their grudge match, the Russian legend scaled the fence and started a wild brawl by attacking one of his opponent’s cornermen

All hell broke loose when ‘The Eagle’ flew over the Octagon wall to try to get at Dillon Danis.

At the same time, members of Nurmagomedov’s entourage entered the cage and began throwing punches at McGregor, who defended himself.

The ugly incident was eventually settled down by members of security and police inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Post-fight, Joe Rogan expressed his concern for Nurmagomedov’s career after his actions at UFC 229.

“Khabib is going to have a very difficult time getting a visa,” the UFC commentator said on the live Fox Sports broadcast.

“The real question now is, does the UFC strip Khabib? Does the Nevada State Athletic Commission fine and not allow him to compete again? Do they keep him from coming back to the country?”

Dana White was also worried about Nurmagomedov’s ability to fight in the U.S. again.

“This is a big deal,” the MMA mogul said during a backstage interview with ESPN at UFC 229.

“I mean, are these guys gonna get visas again to get back into the country?

“Khabib diving over was ridiculous.”

What was Khabib Nurmagomedov’s punishment?

Khabib Nurmagomedov never fought in America again, but that had nothing to do with his punishment.

The 29-0 icon retired after two more fights against Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje, which both took place in Abu Dhabi after he’d served a nine-month ban for his actions at UFC 229.

Nurmagomedov was also fined $500,000 of the $2 million disclosed purse he earned for the fight.

Khabib’s teammates, Abubakar Nurmagomedov and Zubaira Tukhugov, were both handed a one-year suspension and a $25,000 fine.

Conor McGregor served a six-month ban and paid a $50,000 fine for his role in the ugly UFC brawl.
