Israel Adesanya believes Alex Pereira should stay at light heavyweight and defend his title.
‘Poatan’ immediately talked up a move to heavyweight after winning back the 205lb belt on Saturday night.
The Brazilian knockout artist needed just 80 seconds to take out Magomed Ankalaev in the UFC 320 main event.
In doing so, Alex Pereira avenged the decision defeat he suffered against the Russian at UFC 313 earlier this year.

Who Israel Adesanya wants Alex Pereira to fight next
Israel Adesanya’s ecstatic live reaction to Alex Pereira’s UFC 320 win has gone viral on social media.
Once he was done praising his four-time rival, ‘The Last Stylebender’ shared his thoughts on the future.
Adesanya was asked by someone off-camera: “What do you wanna see next, 205 or heavyweight?”
The former two-time UFC middleweight champion responded by calling for his teammate, Carlos Ulberg, to get the next crack at Pereira.
“I think [Car]los vs Alex,” Adesanya said.
“I like that, that should be next.”
Alex Pereira wants Jon Jones super fight
Alex Pereira held a moment’s silence to remember Jon Jones‘s late brother at UFC 320.
The 37-year-old later admitted that he had planned to call out ‘Bones’ during his post-fight interview.
Pereira changed his mind after finding out about the Super Bowl-winning former NFL star, Arthur Jones, passing away at just 39 years old on Friday.
Still, a potential fight with Jones was raised when he dismissed heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall and his next challenger, Ciryl Gane, who will clash for UFC gold on October 25, as potential opponents.
“No,” Pereira said when asked about a move to heavyweight to fight the UFC 321 main event winner.
“I want a super fight. It would be at the White House, against Jon Jones. That’s a super fight.”
