FN are reporting that the vacant WBC ‘silver’ belt will be on the line; they also provide an extended quote from Hearn who refers to this as a ‘major title shot’. Gavazi doesn’t even make the WBC’s top 40 and Boxrec have him #50 in the world. This will no doubt push Whittaker (WBC #9 somehow) up the rankings.

No-one is going to be impressed. They’re putting Whittaker in with a 30 year old journeyman who’s been fighting in school gymnasiums and small shows for years, also against weak opposition.
