Odds shrunk for Tom Aspinall in future rematch with Ciryl Gane

October 27, 2025

When Tom Aspinall and Ciryl Gane run things back, Aspinall will be a much smaller betting favorite.

This past Saturday, Aspinall and Gane met for the UFC heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 321, with Aspinall entering the bout as a heavy betting favorite at around -400 (implying an 80 percent win probability). But while Aspinall was expected to get another quick victory, instead, Gane had a good showing in the first round, until he illegally poked Aspinall in the eyes, rendering the heavyweight champion unable to continue, resulting in a No Contest.

Over the weekend, Sportsbetting.Ag dropped its opening lines for the theoretical rematch between Aspinall and Gane, keeping Aspinall as the favorite, but lowering the line on him considerably. Check out the current odds below.

These odds imply Aspinall has a 67 percent chance of winning, a major dropoff from their first encounter.

There is no timeline yet on when a rematch could be booked, though it’s extremely unlikely to happen until 2026. Though Aspinall avoided any serious, long-term eye injury, he still figures to be out recovering for some time.
