Francis Ngannou: Jon Jones matchup at UFC White House would be ‘biggest fight of all-time’

November 10, 2025

Francis Ngannou believes there’s still some big fan interest in a matchup between him and Jon Jones.

In a recent interview with TMZ, the former UFC heavyweight champ and current PFL star was discussing Jones’ options and was asked about what would be a bigger fight at the UFC’s upcoming event at the White House: Jones vs. Alex Pereira, or Jones vs. Ngannou?

“You know the answer, you don’t need me for that,” Ngannou said. “Should I answer? Do you really need me to answer?”

Ngannou has only competed in two MMA bouts since January 2022. “The Predator” defeated Ciryl Gane at UFC 260 before becoming a free agent. Ngannou chose to part ways with the UFC after feeling disrespected by the promotion and signed with PFL — where he destroyed Renan Ferreira in October 2024 in his lone promotional bout.

The 39-year-old expects his fighting future to have more clarity some time this month, but in his eyes, there’s no bigger fight in all of mixed martial arts than one with Jones.

“Biggest fight of all-time can only happen with Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou,” Ngannou said. “That’s all what I can say about that. No disrespect to other fights or other fighters. I respect all of the fights and all of the fighters, regardless if the fight is on the main card, or prelim, whatever or wherever. I think great fights happen everywhere.

“I became a world champion in the APEX with no crowd, so I respect fight [fights and fighters]. It’s not about the place, but if you want to say biggest of all-time, you make it biggest.”
