Dillon Danis will compete again before the calendar shifts to 2026.
The promotion announced on Monday that Danis will defend his Misfits MMA title against Anthony Taylor at Misfits Mania. The event takes place Dec. 20 at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium.
Danis captured the inaugural title with a 15-second submission victory over the clearly overmatched Warren Spencer at Misfits 22 in August. The victory improved the MMA record of “El Jefe” to 3-0, and gave Danis his first promotional victory. In his Misfits debut, Danis faced Logan Paul in a boxing match, losing via disqualification in the sixth round for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Taylor has plenty of MMA experience, going 7-5 as a pro before transitioning to the influencer boxing scene. “Pretty Boy” returns to mixed martial arts competition for the first time in five years where he picked up a victory over Chris Avila at Bellator 238 in January 2020. The 36-year-old looks to bounce back from a knockout loss to Darren Till in a boxing match at Misfits 20.
