UFC 322 medical suspensions: Sean Brady, Leon Edwards and 3 more receive lengthiest layoffs

November 18, 2025

UFC 322 produced plenty of action and more than a few violent knockouts with several fighters receiving mandatory layoffs afterwards.

On Monday, the New York State Athletic Commission released the medical suspensions to MMA Fighting stemming from this past Saturday night’s card held at Madison Square Garden.

While the fighters competing in the main and co-main events avoided lengthy layoffs, the athletes who suffered arguably the toughest losses on the card were also handed the longest medical suspensions.

Sean Brady, who fell to Michael Morales via first-round knockout, faces a 90-day suspension with neurology clearance after his loss. The same goes for former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards after he suffered a similar fate in his showdown against Carlos Prates on the UFC 322 main card.

Edwards was also handed a 90-day suspension with neurology clearance after he lost by knockout for the first time in his career,

Beneil Dariush was the third main card fighter to get issued a 90-day layoff after his night ended in just 16 seconds after Benoit Saint Denis landed a vicious punch during an early exchange that ended their fight in dramatic fashion.
