December 20, 2025

MMA Fighting has Anderson Silva vs. Tyron Woodley live round-by-round updates for one of the most anticipated prelims on the Paul vs. Joshua undercard at Kaseya Center in Miami, Fla., on Friday night.

The main event is expected to begin around 11 p.m. ET on Netflix. Check out our Paul vs. Joshua results page to find out what else happened on the undercard and main event.

Anderson Silva (3-2) is a UFC legend and a former UFC middleweight champion. Silva lost to Jake Paul in his last trip to the ring on Oct. 29, 2022.

Tyron Woodley (0-2) was one of the top welterweights in UFC history, defending the UFC title four times in his career. He has lost his two fights in pro boxing to Paul.

Our first “is this really happening?” matchup of the night is underway as Woodley walks out first.

Anderson Silva out next and the two former UFC champions are in the ring.

Unsurprisingly, neither fighter coming out hot. Woodley lands first with a right to the body. Silva blocks a high punch. Hasn’t thrown anything himself, though. There’s a quick little combination from Woodley. Didn’t do much, but at least he got loose. Silva continuing to move and feint. Glancing right to the body by Silva. Woodley with another body shot. Woodley advances and they clinch. Bleh.

MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9, Woodley.

Woodley takes center as Silva circles. Good body shot by Silva, then a right uppercut. Woodley staying busy, but that reach disadvantage is making life difficult. Silva probing with the jab, left lands and that rocked Woodley. Almost looked like Woodley was shooting for a takedown there as he stumbled forward. Knockdown. Referee takes a good look at Woodley and he’s definitely still wobbly. He’s waving this one off as Woodley’s corner has seen enough. Considering Woodley is no spring chicken himself at 43, I’m OK with this stoppage.

Official result: Anderson Silva def. Tyron Woodley via TKO (R2, 1:33)

Post-fight, Silva says he wants to re-book the Chris Weidman fight.
