Gable Steveson is preparing for his third mixed martial arts bout, and he’s doing so with one of the greatest fighters of all-time.
Steveson, who is 2-0 with two quick knockout wins — along with a knockout win for Dirty Boxing — is set to face 14-fight veteran Hugo Lezama at MFL 3 in Mexico on Feb. 19.
Ahead of the matchup, Steveson put out a slideshow on his Instagram, including a wrestling match of sorts with former two-division UFC champ Jon Jones, who also coaches Steveson. Check out their quick tilt on the mats, and other training photos and videos below.
In his long-awaited MMA debut, Steveson picked up a 98-second TKO victory over Braden Peterson at LFA 217 this past September. A little over a month later, the Olympic gold medalist destroyed former Bellator fighter Billy Swanson in just 15 seconds in his Dirty Boxing debut in the main event of DBX 4.
Steveson’s sophomore MMA bout took place in November for Anthony Pettis’ APFC promotion, where he delivered a brutal knockout of Kevin Hein with a nasty left hook in just 24 seconds at APFC 21.
The UFC has had their eye on Steveson, who will likely make his promotional debut sometime in 2026.
