Jake Paul has another surgery for broken jaw: ‘Screws and plates were coming loose’

February 20, 2026

Jake Paul is still recovering from his brutal knockout loss to Anthony Joshua.

“The Problem Child” revealed Friday that he has had to undergo further surgery to address the broken jaw suffered in his bout with Joshua this past December. Paul struggled against Joshua for five rounds before the two-time heavyweight champion put Paul away in Round 6, battering him with a flurry of power punches that forced the stoppage.

See his Instagram post below.

Had to get another jaw surgery. The screws and plates were coming loose because apparently I didn’t rest for the past 2 months whaattttttttt

This was the second loss for Paul since he decided to dedicate himself to boxing in 2020. The longtime influencer and YouTube star also dropped a split decision to Tommy Fury in February 2023. Outside of those fights, Paul has scored wins over a number of high-profile combat sports names including Mike Tyson and former UFC stars Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, and Tyron Woodley.

Paul has not provided a timetable for his return to action nor who he plans to fight next.
