Waldo Cortes- Acosta might have made history at UFC Vegas 110. Assuming anyone can figure out what actually just happened.
The UFC Vegas 110 co-main event saw Cortes-Acosta facing fellow top 10 heavyweight Ante Delija. A few minutes into the fight, Delija appeared to have Cortes-Acosta in trouble, and he finished a fight-ending flurry that had referee Mark Smith step in to break up the action.
However, the fight was not over. Somehow.
Upon review, it was determined that Delija had poked Cortes-Acosta in the eye. Cortes-Acosta was given time to recover and later asked if he could continue. He did, and then knocked out Delija seconds later.
