Josh Hokit: Alex Pereira has never fought a wrestler

Josh Hokit is an 8-0 heavyweight prospect looking to propel himself into the title mix.

‘The Incredible Hok’ will square off against long-time contender Curtis Blaydes at UFC 327 on April 11.

A win could move him into touching distance of a massive fight with Alex Pereira, Tom Aspinall, and the other big stars at heavyweight.

So, it seems Hokit has tried to start some drama with Pereira to build up a potential grudge match.

“It’s insane how he can be so ‘Legendary’ but hasn’t fought a real wrestler his whole career,” he said about Pereira’s rumored move to heavyweight.

“I guess being a great champion is all about perfect timing.”

Alex Pereira vs Jon Jones fight talks

On Sunday, Jon Jones confirmed he’s in talks to fight on the UFC White House card.

‘Bones’ didn’t name his potential opponent, but everybody thinks he’s set to face Alex Pereira.

24 hours earlier, Ariel Helwani claimed that negotiations for that super fight are ongoing.

“There have been talks of him fighting Jon Jones on the White House card,” the MMA reporter said.

“Jon Jones on the White House card is not dead. I don’t feel, as of right now, a ton of positive momentum in that direction, but I’m not here to tell you that it’s dead.

“There have been talks of this. Jon Jones vs Alex Pereira at heavyweight.”

Dana White says an announcement about the June 14 event in the capital will be made this week.

So fans won’t have to wait long to find out if Jones and Pereira are headlining at the White House.
