In other action, Yankiel Rivera, 7-0-1 (3 KOs), came in at 111.4lbs for his WBA interim flyweight title fight against former WBO junior flyweight champion Jonathan “Bomba” Gonzalez, 28-4-1 (14 KOs), who was 112lbs exactly. Rivera, 28, of Bayamon, Puerto Rico is getting his second straight opportunity at that belt after drawing with Angelino Cordova last August, while Gonzalez, 34, is fighting for the first time since his first round TKO loss to Anthony Olascuaga in October of 2024.
