Holly Holm is set to fight for another boxing world championship.

Most Valuable Promotions announced on Wednesday that the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion is set to challenge Stephanie Han for the WBA lightweight title in the co-main event of the Jan. 3 card headlined by Amanda Serrano vs. Erika Cruz.

The bout will be contested under men’s boxing rules with 10, three-minute rounds.

“Holly Holm is back challenging for a boxing world title, 12 years after leaving the sport and doing it with MVP,” MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Badarian said in a joint statement. “She is facing a multi-faceted athlete in Stephanie Han who is a champion, a mother, and a police officer. And they are doing it with 3-minute rounds like the men. Joining them are an array of Puerto Rican standouts, including MVP’s own Yankiel Rivera, Jan Paul Rivera, and Krystal Rosado, representing the island’s next generation of greatness and demonstrating MVP’s commitment to pushing the sport forward through equality, opportunity, and world-class fights for fans around the globe, live only on DAZN.”

Before transitioning to MMA full time, Holm was a multiple-time world champion boxer, successfully defending her titles in three divisions a total of 18 times. “The Preacher’s Daughter” was a two-time Ring Magazine fighter of the year, and was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2022. After 12 years away from the boxing ring, Holm returned to pick up a lopsided decision win over Yolanda Vega in June at the Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. event in June.

Han has won all 11 of her pro boxing bouts, including capturing the WBA lightweight title with first-round knockout of Hannah Terlep in February, before defeating Paulina Angel in August via unanimous decision for her first successful title defense.

The event takes place at Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and streams on DAZN.
