Henry Cejudo couldn’t have asked for a better return to wrestling as he easily defeated Urijah Faber in the main event of RAF Wrestling’s visit to Arizona.

The legendary two-weight UFC champion first made a name for himself when he won gold in freestyle wrestling at the 2008 Olympic games. He then went on to become an all-time great in the Octagon, retiring at the end of last year for a second time after his comeback effort ended in a string of losses.

Tonight in his adopted home of Arizona, Cejudo got the chance to return to his first love against another icon of the cage in Faber. And he showed just how good he can still be as he easily defeated the ‘California Kid’.

Even after his unfortunate end in the UFC, there was no doubt that Henry Cejudo was going to prove a very difficult test for any MMA fighter as he made the move back to RAF Wrestling. The Olympian even wanted to take on the decorated 19-year-old Bo Bassett for his very first test.

However, Urijah Faber was quietly confident of his ability to turn MMA wrestling into something that could trouble Cejudo. Unfortunately, that was not the case and it became very clear that ‘Triple C’ would be taking the victory.

A moral victory of sorts will come for Faber as he was able to avoid having a pinfall scored on him by the gold medallist. However, he was defeated by technical fall in a shutout 11-0 beating that probably reflects both men’s experience in the sport.

Henry Cejudo and Merab Dvalishvili face off after RAF06

It was recently announced that former UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili would be making his debut for RAF Wrestling on April 18 in Philadelphia. And it appears that he has a big name opponent after being called out by Cejudo.

Was Merab Dvalishvili’s reign in 2025 impressive enough to warrant an immediate title shot?

The pair have already fought inside the Octagon, with Dvalishvili finally earning his shot at bantamweight gold with a decision win over the former champion at UFC 298. And RAF have confirmed that the pair will meet on that April date in a highly-anticipated match.
