Dana White famously claimed the odds of Jon Jones fighting at the White House were ‘a billion to one’.
Seven months later, it appears the UFC CEO has had a change of heart about the $60 million fight card.
“I’m in negotiations with the UFC about this White House thing,” Jones told a room full of fans on Saturday night.
“I’m a very, very, very proud American, and I cannot wait to represent one more time.
“So, we’ll see what happens.”

Jon Jones’ revelation about negotiations came just hours after reports about his next fight emerged.
On Saturday, veteran MMA reporter Ariel Helwani publicly claimed that Alex Pereira could face Jones at the White House.
‘Poatan’ vacated his light heavyweight title amid rumors about a heavyweight move the day before.
“There have been talks of him fighting Jon Jones on the White House card,” Helwani said.
“Jon Jones on the White House card is not dead.
“I don’t feel, as of right now, a ton of positive momentum in that direction, but I’m not here to tell you that it’s dead.
“There have been talks of this. Jon Jones vs Alex Pereira at heavyweight.”
