Khamzat Chimaev wants Colby Covington to be his next opponent.

The 15-0 MMA star hasn’t fought since becoming middleweight champion by beating Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 319 in August 2025.

Before defending his 185lb UFC belt, Khamzat Chimaev hopes to compete in Real American Freestyle (RAF).

Can Arman Tsarukyan be trusted with a UFC title shot?

Between punching a fan at UFC 300, his Dan Hooker headbutt and now the RAF brawl, is Arman Tsarukyan too much of a loose canon for the UFC title?

Khamzat Chimaev vs Colby Covington

Khamzat Chimaev watched from home as the new wrestling league delivered another epic event on Saturday night.

It featured Henry Cejudo vs Urijah Faber and appearances from Aljamain Sterling and Clay Guida.

However, all anyone is talking about is Arman Tsarukyan’s post-fight brawl with Georgio Poullas.

Chimaev clearly liked what he saw at RAF 06, because he called to compete at the promotion’s next event.

‘Borz’ wants to face Colby Covington at RAF 07, which is set to take place at the University of South Florida’s Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, on March 28.

“Next RAF, I will make American boy humble again,” Chimaev tweeted. “Colbiclown, let’s go.”

Is there anyone who can beat Khamzat Chimaev?

The UFC middleweight champion has looked unstoppable throughout his 15-0 MMA career.

Khamzat Chimaev’s next UFC fight

Sean Strickland recently emerged as the frontrunner to face Khamzat Chimaev next.

The former middleweight champion KO’d Anthony Hernandez at UFC Houston last weekend.

Strickland subsequently called out Chimaev, who immediately responded on social media.

A week later, Chimaev claimed his long spell on the sidelines was caused by Strickland.

“No, I waiting for Strickland,” he said when a fan asked if he is currently injured.

It’s currently unclear if the UFC will allow Chimaev to compete in RAF before facing Strickland.
