Welcome to the latest edition of Missed Fists where we shine a light on fights from across the globe that may have been overlooked in these hectic times where it seems like there’s an MMA show every other day.
Remember when I said I was going to make an effort to stop leading Missed Fists with gruesome leg injuries?
(Big thanks as always to @Barrelelapierna for their weekly lists of the best KOs, and to @Grabaka_Hitman for uploading many of the clips you see here. Give them a follow and chip in on Patreon if you can.)
Aleksandr Sineschuk vs. Raul Uazirov
Alright. This is it. This is the apex leg snap. No one is topping this in 2026.
From a Yuzhniy Rubezh event in Krasnodar, Russia.
After scoring a ground-and-pound finish at the end of the opening round, Aleksandr Sineschuk celebrated by doing a flip off of the cage and COMPLETELY ANNIHILATING HIS ANKLE.
Look, I’m not a doctor. I don’t know the severity of this injury. But, in the moment, I’m going to say it was very very very very very very very very bad.
The good news? Apparently, he’s OK!
Let’s hope Sineschuk has many more victories to celebrate and that his post-fight antics are much more subdued going forward.
Yujiro Inui vs. Takenori Amano
Rui Maeda vs. Kouma Ito
Were it not for Sineschuk’s costly overenthusiasm, this week’s lead surely would have been this referee getting creamed at a Gladiator event in Osaka, Japan.
As Yuniro Inui put it on Takenori Amano, it looks like the referee intended to step in and then ate a headbutt from a dazed Amano for his troubles. Fortunately, he seemed to be fine, but I’m not entirely sure why the bout wasn’t stopped there because isn’t that why he was stepping in?
Weirdly, there was a break in the action moments later as Inui received a warning for landing an illegal knee while attacking with ground-and-pound. Then, after a much lengthier pause in the action, Inui was finally allowed to get back to work and he eventually won with a rear-naked choke. All of this happened in less than three minutes of official time.
Anyway, amateur lightweight Rui Maeda also delivered a nine-second knockout that night.

Emmanuel Sita vs. Glody Kanzeko
Jason Mackay vs. Philani Mbuyazi
Not quite as fast but no less furious was Emmanuel Sita’s knockout of Glody Kanzeko at EFC 131 in Cape Town, South Africa.
Man, dude threw so many punches. What would he have done if he didn’t get the stoppage? There can’t have been more than 10 seconds of gas left in Sita’s tank. Guess we’ll never know.
Jason Mackay also scored a quick finish and earned major style points for this one-shot walk-off KO.
Hassan Anwari vs. Nikola Djuric
We got another one of those at a Swiss Championship MMA event in Basel, Switzerland.
Though now that I’m watching these back, maybe they’re more like… stand-overs?
Amateur welterweight Hassan Anwari landed a right hand hammer and had all the time in the world to wait for the referee to stop the fight. Posed and everything.
Christian Alquinga vs. Jesus Diaz
Mackay and Anwari showed a lot of class not landing any follow-up shots, making up for some hesitant officiating.
Jesus Diaz wasn’t so lucky.
No worries, ref, take your sweet time coming around the mountain there.
Yes, Christian Alquinga could have certainly pulled back earlier, but as we always say, it’s really the official’s job to step in there when it’s time to wrap things up. As it stands, Horacio Lopez, you join Kerry Hatley and Jacob Montalvo in this week’s Misadventures in Officiating reel.
Budo Sento Championship 33 is available for replay on UFC Fight Pass.
Pedro Magalhaes vs. Jesus Basco
Martin Farley vs. Joel dos Santos
Sticking around with Fight Pass, we had a car crash of a knockout at a WOW event in Bilbao, Spain.
Pedro Magalhaes smacked Jesus Basco with a counter right coming in, which I would estimate triples the force of that hit. Basco’s body went into autopilot, so it looked like he was still intelligently defending himself, but that just meant Magalhaes had to drive in some coffin nails for good measure.
Given what happened to Basco and Diaz, I guess this was really the week to F with the Jesus.
Over at Bison Kombat 6 in Santa Catarina, Brazil, Martin Farley landed a flying knee and then followed with punches that left opponent Joel dos Santos flopping like a fish.
To quote another great Farley: “That was awesome!”
Ilya Fomochkin vs. Ruslan Karmokov
Maxim Butorin vs. Igor Litoshik
Want more knees? Here’s a couple from a BetCity Fight Nights event in Sochi, Russia, where Ilya Fomochking landed an incredible flying knee…
…and Maxim Butorin hit a knee that sent a mouthpiece flying.
Jhancarlo Cuellar vs. Nicanor Pasapera
Diego Morillo vs. Giovanni Mazzetti
One more from the Fight Pass vault (prelims available on YouTube), here’s Jhancarlo Cuellar destroying a man’s liver at Inka 54 in Lima, Peru.
Jaden Ortega vs. Ricardo Chavez
Combate Global visited Burbank, Calif., on Thursday and young Jaden Ortega stole the show with a sweet question mark kick.
Ortega was matched up with journeyman Ricardo Chavez (who fell to 28-25) and he took care of business to improve to 6-0 as a pro. I wasn’t familiar with Ortega before this, but the great caposa declared, “This kid should be on any welterweight prospect list.” So watch out.
Nils Goitom vs. Pedro Henrique Prado
We close out the week with a crisp leg kick from Pedro Henrique Prado… which was followed by him slipping on the mat at the worst possible time and being blasted by a soccer kick to the face from Nils Goitim.
Add it to the ever-growing list of ways to lose a fight.
