Welcome to the latest edition of Missed Fists where we shine a light on fights from across the globe that may have been overlooked in these hectic times where it seems like there’s an MMA show every other day.
We’ve got ourselves a legit prospect watch to start off this week. I admit, I wasn’t familiar with Ramazan Gasanov’s game (wait, this guy fought for Eagle FC?), but with this most recent finish, the MMA world is definitely getting up to speed in a hurry.
(Big thanks as always to @Barrelelapierna for their weekly lists of the best KOs, and to @Grabaka_Hitman for uploading many of the clips you see here. Give them a follow and chip in on Patreon if you can.)
Ramazan Gasanov vs. Wemerson Vitor
How to describe this eloquently: Gasanov slammed a dude straight down on his MF’ing head.
Gasanov was born in Dagestan and I’m not sure if you’ve heard, but that Russian region has produced some decent wrestlers in the past. Even a few UFC fighters, apparently. Well, expect Gasanov to join them soon, especially if he keeps producing finishes like this one.
If you’re wondering, his opponent Wemerson Vitor was able to stand up on his own shortly after, so hopefully that fall looked worse than it was? You can review the full event yourself for free on YouTube.
Now 14-0 with a couple of Naiza FC welterweight title defenses, Gasanov should be showing up in an octagon near you sometime in the next couple of years.
Erfan Ahangarian vs. Jose Vasquez
Thursday at a Battlefield Fight League event in Vancouver, Canada, Erfan Ahangarian styled and profiled on Jose Vasquez before landing a crisp spinning elbow.
You can see Vasquez bite HARD on a feint allowing Ahangarian to step into the space with precision and let that elbow fly. Coquitlam, represent!
Santiago Prieto vs. Fabian Lopez
While you’re logged in (I honestly have no clue how much play Fight Pass still gets in the Paramount+ era), check out Santiago Prieto’s awesome anaconda choke of Fabian Lopez from a Lux Fight League event that took place in Monterrey, Mexico.
Prieto rotated perfectly into the anaconda choke, Lopez attempted to tap out a second too late (might not have made a difference), and then it’s night night.
Renzo Aldave vs. Hector Negroe
Also in Monterrey this week, Mexico Fight League held its third show (free on YouTube!), headlined by the continuing adventure of Gable Steveson. While Steveson was clearly the main attraction (spoiler: he won), the image that will stay with me is Hector Negroe’s leg snapping against Renzo Aldave.
Clearly, viewer discretion is advised.
It’s official everyone, the leg injury epidemic of 2026 is real. Last month, it was amateur fighter Erwan Teiga who saw their foot twist the wrong way, and just last week we saw Mar’s toes end up pointing in opposite directions after a slam.
To paraphrase Wu-Tang Clan, protect ya leg!
As the commentators pointed out, this was actually Negroe’s first fight since 2022 and it could be a while before we see him venture into the cage again.
Bilal Lamkhanat vs. Kenji Aliamane
When I first saw this clip drift into the timeline, I thought it was going to end with a Joaquin Buckley flying spin kick counter.
As happens much more frequently, amateur Bilal Lamkhanat took advantage of his off-balance opponent and lined him up for a jaw-rattling head kick.
Those hammerfists weren’t too nice, either.
Pro Evolution Fighting 10 is available for free replay on YouTube.
Alex Cleberson vs. Addy Khan
At FightStar Championship 36 in Bradford, England, Alex Cleberson finished Addy Khan with a gorgeous flying knee knockout.
Cleberson cut Khan off, managed the distance perfectly, and then took to the air. Picturesque.
Kaik Brito vs. Ronald Paradeiser
Lastly, let us put some shine on Kaik Brito, the one-time Contender Series hopeful who could be getting another crack at it after reclaiming the Oktagon MMA welterweight title this past weekend in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
Make sure to check out our own Guilherme Cruz’s pre-fight chat with the now two-time champion, including how Brito has benefited from Wanderlei Silva’s words of wisdom.
