UFC White House is one step closer to reality.
That’s at least according to President Donald Trump, who announced the proposed event will take place June 14, 2026, ahead of the United States of America’s 250th Independence Day festivities in July. June 14 also happens to be the date of Trump’s 80th birthday.
Trump made the announcement speaking to a gathering of military personnel at Naval Station Norfolk in Virgina. Watch the clip below.
While UFC CEO Dana White has previously mentioned the event taking place in June, this is the first time a precise date has been suggested. Should Trump’s statement prove to be accurate, it would be a rare Sunday event for the UFC, which typically runs pay-per-views and Fight Nights on Saturdays.
White has been hesitant to lay out any concrete plans for UFC White House, saying in interviews that there are still numerous logistical concerns to be worked out especially in regards to security. UFC stars including Conor McGregor and Jon Jones have volunteered their services for the event, but White has declined to verbally commit either fighter to the lineup.
Trump has been a longtime supporter of the UFC and has frequently been showcased at events, especially during his second presidency. He announced this past July plans for a UFC White House event, which White was quick to confirm in subsequent interviews.
