Rodolfo Vieira booked for April UFC return in Las Vegas

February 27, 2026

Jiu-jitsu legend Rodolfo Vieira will re-enter the octagon on April 25 for a middleweight showdown against Eric McConico, multiple people with knowledge of the booking confirmed with MMA Fighting.

The UFC Vegas card will be headlined by Sean Brady vs. Joaquin Buckley at the Meta APEX.

Vieira (11-4) will attempt to rebound from a knockout loss to Bo Nickal in his most recent UFC appearance in November of 2025 at the Madison Square Garden, his first loss since joining The Fighting Nerds team.

The five-time jiu-jitsu world champion and ADCC gold medalist now holds a UFC record of 6-4 with five submission victories, including bonus-winning tapouts against Armen Petrosyan, Cody Brundage and Dustin Stoltzfus.

McConico (10-4-1) also beat Brundage in the UFC, so far his only victory under the UFC banner. The split decision win is sandwiched between knockout setbacks to Nursulton Ruziboev and Baisangur Susurkaev, losses that ended a five-fight winning streak of The MMA Lab middleweight.

The UFC Vegas card will also feature a flyweight clash between Brazilian standouts Jafel Filho and Lucas Rocha, sources confirmed with MMA Fighting following a report from Ag. Fight.
