Sean Strickland got hitched, and he did it in classic Strickland fashion.
On Tuesday, the former UFC middleweight champion announced his marriage to his longtime partner, announcing it to the world with an Instagram post showing he and his wedding party holding rifles, with the caption, “Well, time to grow up, I guess.”
But if you were thinking that’s not quite Sean Strickland enough, don’t worry, there’s more. The gun enthusiast also posted a video to his Reels of he and his new wife celebrating their nuptials by shooting shooting an automatic weapon (h/t Championship Rounds) with her still in her wedding gown.
Strickland last competed in February, losing a unanimous decision to Dricus du Plessis in their title rematch at UFC 312. He has since been linked to a possible rematch with Israel Adesanya, but that appears to have fallen out, and instead, Strickland recently made comments suggesting a matchup with surging contender Anthony Hernandez is what he’d like next.
