Valter Walker is doing the impossible in front of our very eyes.
At UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, Walker once again pulled off his signature submission, locking a heel hook on Louie Sutherland and forcing him to tap out less than 90 seconds into the opening around. Walker extended a UFC record with his fourth straight heel hook finish.
Watch the unbelievable moment below.
Walker immediately went for a takedown, forcing Sutherland to the fence before dragging him to the mat. Sutherland’s defense did little to deter Walker from snatching a leg and going for the submission. Sure enough, once the heel hook was secured, Sutherland had no choice but to give.
The official time of the stoppage was 1:24 into Round 1.
Walker also tied the UFC record for most heel hook submissions, matching Rousimar Palhares, who snatched four heel hooks in 12 UFC appearances.
In his post-fight interview, Walker called for a fight with Hamdy Abdelwahab, who was victorious earlier in the evening.
