This is the UFC 325 live blog for Quillan Salkilld vs. Jamie Mullarkey, the main card lightweight bout Saturday at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
Salkilld (10-1) is one of the hottest prospects in the UFC’s 155-pound division. After earning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2024, Salkilld went 3-0 in 2025 with wins over Nasrat Haqparast, Yanal Ashmouz, and Anshul Jubli. It was the knockout of Haqparast at UFC 321 that cemented Salkilld as one to watch after he landed a head kick that left Haqparast down on the canvas for a frightening amount of time.
Stepping in on less than a month’s notice for Rongzhu, Mullarkey (18-8) looks to follow up on a unanimous decision win over Rolando Bedoya in September that snapped a two-fight losing streak. A win for Mullarkey over his countryman would push his UFC record over the .500 mark as he is currently 6-6 competing inside the octagon.

Folks, we’ve got ourselves a good ol’ fashioned squash match lined up here. But hey, stranger things have happened and you can bet Jamie Mullarkey isn’t here to roll over. Pressure is on you, Mr. Salkilld.
I said “squash match” and I meant it. Salkilld is a whopping -1100 favorite, with Mullarkey the longest of long shots at +700 on FanDuel.
Salkilld flicking out leg kicks to start. Boom, he goes in for a double leg and there’s the takedown, Mullarkey immediately fighting to get back to his feet. Salkilld scores off of the separation, Mullarkey looking to wrestle him back to the fence. Mullarkey pulls Salkilld away and he gets a takedown, control doesn’t last long though and they’re back to striking.
Salkilld ducks a combo and goes for another shot, well-defended by Mullarkey. Lots of wrestling against the fence with Mullarkey on the attack. Whoa, huge throw by Salkilld and suddenly he’s on Mullarkey’s back. That was athletic as hell. Choke from Salkilld and that’s tight, Mullarkey has to tap.
Official result: Quillan Salkilld def. Jamie Mullarkey via submission (RNC) (R1, 3:02)
Salkilld says it wasn’t necessarily the plan to wrestle Mullarkey.
“I have no game plan, whatever happens.”
He wants a top 15 opponent next, but doesn’t have a name in mind.
