UFC Qatar weigh-in results: Main and co-main event official, Waldo Cortes-Acosta makes weight on short notice

November 21, 2025

There was very little drama at the official UFC Qatar weigh-ins on Friday morning with all of the fighters competing on the card hitting the scale without any major incidents.

Main event fighters Arman Tsarukyan and Dan Hooker were both early arrivals to the scale as they made weight ahead of their five-round clash with the winner expected to become the new No. 1 contender in the lightweight division.

Tsarukyan came in at 156 pounds while Hooker was 155.5 pounds.

Former UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad was actually the first fighter on the scales on Friday as he weighed 171 pounds. His upcoming fight serves as his first appearance since losing the welterweight title to Jack Della Maddalena in a decision back in May.

His opponent Ian Machado Garry didn’t weigh in until a little later but he also faced no problems on the scale as he hit the mark at 170 pounds.

Heavyweight Waldo Cortes-Acosta was actually the final fighter to weigh in on Friday after he accepted a short-notice fight against Shamil Gaziev just one day earlier when Sergei Spivac was forced off the card.

Cortes-Acosta had to fly all the way to Qatar and he apparently didn’t arrive until shortly before the official weigh-ins but he still got the job done coming in at 265 pounds.

Gaziev also had no problems coming in at 262 pounds.

Former top 10 middleweight Jack Hermansson also hit the scale at 170.5 pounds as he prepares to make his welterweight debut in the UFC. He faces former lightweight Myktybek Oralbai, who came in at 170 pounds for the featured bout on the main card.
