UFC welcomes Tanner Boser back to heavyweight division to take on newcomer

During his time in the UFC, ‘The Bulldozer’ fought 10 times, winning five of those outings before being cut following a win over Alexa Camur in 2023.

And despite having only competed once since his UFC-axing, Tanner Boser has now been re-signed by the promotion to compete on April 18.

Boser thanks the UFC for second chance as he’s booked to fight Gokhan Saricam

The UFC heavyweight division is currently in the worst state it has ever been in, with the champion, Tom Aspinall, out injured, and severely lacking in contenders throughout.

With that, the promotion is giving the 34-year-old another chance, and he has been booked to take on new signing, Gokhan Saricam at UFC Winnipeg on April 18.

“I’m back and I’m very grateful to the UFC, Dana White and Mick Maynard and all the rest for this second chance,” he said in a post on Instagram.

“LET’S F—— GO! Thank you to Dominance MMA and Ali Abdelaziz, I owe you a great performance, I’ll be ready. Let’s do this.”

The Turkish heavyweight, Saricam, fought under the Bellator banner seven times, winning five of his outings.

73% of Saricam’s wins have come by way of knockout, and fans are hopeful that he could be a much-needed addition to the heavyweight division.

The UFC’s return to Canada is now shaping up nicely for the Canadian fans.

In the main event, Gilbert Burns takes on popular Canadian contender, Mike Malott, who is hoping to once again crack the top 15 of the welterweight division.

Number six ranked women’s flyweight contender Jasmine Jasudavicius is also scheduled to compete on the card, taking on Karine Silva.
