The UFC card at the White House is expected to end up as one of the biggest events in company history but plans for the historic card are still in flux at this time.
Despite UFC CEO Dana White and his production team having already shown off plans to effectively build a one-night sports arena on the White House lawn — complete with fighter walkouts from the Oval Office — the date for the event is reportedly not set in stone. President Donald Trump recently announced recently he expected the show to take place June 14, the date of his 80th birthday, but that may not happen.
A new report from Variety, which took a deep dive into the new regime at Paramount led by CEO David Ellison after he paid the UFC $7.7 billion for exclusive broadcast rights for the next seven years, states that the White House card “could happen sooner.”
For what it’s worth, UFC officials including White have repeatedly said planning for the White House event won’t begin until early 2026 so anything seems possible based on logistics and timing.
White has promised to deliver one of the biggest UFC events of all time with almost every high-profile fighter on the roster asking for a spot at the White House card.
The historic event, which likely ends up being broadcast on CBS, won’t feature a massive crowd with White expecting “under 5,000” people in attendance.
So who might be sitting octagon side for this event?
In addition to Trump and White, it appears there could be some serious VIPs from around the globe all vying for a spot to watch the first and perhaps only ever UFC event at the White House.
“Dignitaries from around the world will attend a dinner and then head to the Octagon, the eight-sided ring where the main event will play out,” Variety reports.
The card, which is expected to coincide with a grand celebration of America’s 250th anniversary that White House spokesperson Anna Kelly touted as “a spectacular event,” could also end up playing host to world leaders as well as any number of power players with well-established ties to the president and the UFC.
Names like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, who have frequently attended UFC events in the past, are almost certainly on the guest list. Prominent members of Trump’s administration are also likely to make appearances such as FBI Director Kash Patel, as well as the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert Kennedy Jr.
Judging by this latest update there’s still a lot of planning to be finalized before the UFC officially lands at the White House in 2026.
