Jake Paul is taking his training for Gervonta Davis very seriously.
Next month on Nov. 14, Paul continues his sordid run through boxing when he takes on Tank Davis in an exhibition boxing match at Kaseya Center in Miami. Like many Paul bouts, this fight has drawn criticism for, among other things, the huge weight disparity between the former lightweight champion, Davis, and Paul, who last competed against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at cruiserweight.
Despite the criticism, Paul insists this is his opportunity to prove his boxing ability by taking on a former world champion, still in his athletic prime. And he’s preparing for that challenge by beating up influencers in his backyard.
On Wednesday, influencer Chrogman, who grew his profile by doing fight challenges with random followers and celebrities, released a video of him sparring with Jake Paul, to disastrous results for Chrogman.
Chrogman shows up for the event with his face mock-tattooed a la Mike Tyson, but Paul dispatches him in much more violent fashion, repeatedly dropping Chrogman with shots to the body. Afterwards, Paul, in a tongue-in-cheek manner, shouts Chrogman out as “my toughest fight yet.”
This is not the first time Chrogman has squared off with someone in the combat sports realm. In September, former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington made him puke during a fight challenge.
