Yoel Romero vs. Bo Nickal rebooked for RAF 5

December 22, 2025

Yoel Romero and Bo Nickal will get another opportunity to share the wrestling mats.

Following Romero’s dominant tech fall win over Pat Downey at RAF 4 on Saturday, promotional officials announced that a match between Romero and the current UFC middleweight has been rebooked for RAF 5. The event takes place Jan. 10 in Sunrise, Fla., streaming exclusively on FOX Nation.

The pairing were scheduled to compete on Saturday’s card, but Nickal was pulled for undisclosed reasons.

Romero is also headlining BKFC’s upcoming KnuckleMania 6 event in February against Lorenzo Hunt, so “Soldier of God” will have a busy start to 2026.

Nickal, who just recently scored a brutal knockout at UFC 322, is making his return to wrestling. Nickal was a three-time NCAA National Champion at Penn State but after coming up short to make the 2020 Olympic team, he made his transition to MMA. He now holds an 8-1 record including a 5-1 resume in the UFC.

RAF 5 is headlined by Colby Covington vs. Luke Rockhold.
